My Background
I am a holistic health practitioner in the Aiken area who works with herbs, nutrition, yoga and supplements to facilitate health and wellness. After receiving my B.S. in Botany and B.A. in Cultural Anthropology, I went on to complete my M.S. in Biology at Northern Arizona University where I studied the medicinal plants of the area. I am a certified and practicing consulting herbalist, and am the proprietor of Banyan Moon Botanicals, an herbal health and healing company. I have been researching, using, and teaching about medicinal plants for over 10 years and am currently an Adjunct Professor in the Health and Wellness Department of Kaplan University. As a 200-hr certified Yoga instructor, I also incorporate yoga therapeutics into treatment plans.
Consultation Specifics
Fees: One hour herbal, nutrition, or fitness consultation $75.00
One-hour health and lifestyle assessment interview, followed by recommendations of how to achieve your health goals through dietary and lifestyle changes, nutritional supplements, herbal formulas, and/or yoga therapeutics.
We will create a treatment plan together that reflects these recommendations and strategies of how to improve your health.
Thirty-minute follow up by phone or email to discuss these recommendations and answer any questions. Follow up appointments are $35.00
In addition to herbal formulas, a client's individualized plan may include suggestions for supplements, dietary changes, traditional medical diagnostics and various treatments both mainstream and alternative. My approach honors the valuable aspects of both traditional and complementary medicine. My preference is to use alternative medicine whenever possible but there are certain situations where I support mainstream diagnostics and treatment.
I also provide custom herbal blends made from organic and ethically wild crafted herbs. Only the highest quality materials are used in the process from start to finish, ensuring you with superior quality herbal medicine. The cost of these recommended herbs or supplements is not included in the consultation fee. Prices vary. I may suggest you order herbs directly from our recommended sources, or ship custom formulas to you.
Clients are seen by appointment in the comfort of their own homes, office, or via telephone interview.
